COVID Update from MD Chris Thompson
Published - 28th Apr 2020
Please find below an update on our recent response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Our thoughts are with all those affected by the coronavirus outbreak and we want to assure you that the health and well being of our staff, as well as those of our suppliers and customers, remains our top priority. We are taking all necessary measures to ensure that our staff are not put at risk.
We also recognise that we play a critical role in a number of key supply chains and that the continuity of supply of our products is of the utmost importance.
We are fortunate to have been able to continue to operate in this challenging environment and are pleased to be in a position to continue to support our customers. Our manufacturing facility remains open and we are in constant communication with our critical suppliers and manufacturing partners to ensure the security of our manufacturing capacity and supply chain.
Business continuity must not come at the cost of the health and safety of our employees and below are some of the ways in which we are enabling our people to continue doing their jobs in the safest way possible:
- All staff who are able to work from home are doing so
- Social distancing protocols are being strictly observed
- Enhanced hygiene measures have been implemented in all our facilities
- Additional PPE equipment has been procured
- All non-essential travel has been stopped
- Video conferencing is being used extensively
At this time, there are no known issues with our ability to meet the demand of our current order book and, based on current information, we do not anticipate any interruption in our continuity of supply in the near term. Our manufacturing facility is open, and we are fortunate also to have manufacturing partners in other countries. This diverse production base is an asset to our customers as we address any potential impacts resulting from the coronavirus outbreak.
In the midst of the pandemic, we are frequently reminded of how quickly things can change and, whilst we cannot guarantee that the coronavirus will not cause disruptions in the future, please rest assured that, in this time of uncertainty, we are as committed as ever to supporting you and your business. We are continuously monitoring the evolution of the situation and taking every measure to limit any impact to our customers. We will always inform you promptly of any developments.
We truly appreciate your ongoing collaboration and have been touched by the many messages of support we have received in recent weeks from customers and suppliers alike. We are confident that, by working together, we will successfully navigate the challenging times ahead.
